Search engine optimization (SEO) is a smart play.

You can use ads to get to the top of Google today but once you stop, so does your marketing. Search Engine Optimization is the smart play.

SEO has a snowball effect. Once you begin to get momentum traffic often begins to pick up heavily. Getting to the top of the search results will result in substantially more traffic, more clicks, and more leads and sales.

Our approach is to get you a clear return on your investment. We start with your goals and set a way to measure those each month. As your search traffic grows, we’ll work with you to continue to improve your conversion rate and make sure you get the maximum benefit of your results.

How do you do it?

1. A well coded website – Lots of relevant content, appropriate content linking back to the website, Google reviews, an updated Google My Business business listing, and a great page experience with a fast website.

2. Your conversion rate – If your website isn’t converting well you are wasting money driving traffic to it. The website should have a great conversion rate and a lead generator and email campaign to catch any potentially lost leads.

3. Optimize Package – This package improves Google’s user page experience or Core Web Vitals.

Google recently released an update to their rankings algorithm that checks for the Core Web Vitals or User Page Experience of a website. Basically this measures how fast the website loads and how little the website jumps up down when the customer uses it on both mobile and desktop. Our Optimize Package makes your website blazing fast and the experience good, often scoring a 90-100% on the Google score.

Any business that is serious about growing needs to rank well in the search engines. Customers are looking for someone to solve their problems. To find them they are searching. Mostly on Google.

There are three ways to rank well in search engines: the local map listing, the search results, and in advertisements. Picking which one is best for you depends on the competition, cost, and your target customers.

The first result in the search rankings garners about 45% of clicks. The second position drops heavily down to about 12%. Almost any result on the first page is going to get clicks but the lion’s share will be at the first position.

You can rank for SEO locally or nationally. Locally has the benefit of the Google Map within the location search whereas nationally will have more search results. We prefer optimizing locally and then moving nationally based on effort, and cost, and some of the local strategies will still help you rank higher nationally.

If your Google My Business ranks on the Google Map for local searches it is a game changer. The map shows reviews, location, and business information without a customer having to click on the website. This means map interactions can be really high for those who rank.

Search engine optimization (SEO) is a long play. It can take a while to get to the top of the search rankings. Most of the time a good SEO strategy can be creating pages that rank for less popular terms and getting to the first position in all of them rather than finding the biggest one and putting all the eggs in one basket.

SEO has a snowball effect. Once you begin to get momentum traffic often begins to pick up heavily. We recommend a minimum of six months of SEO but prefer a year.

Our approach is to start with your goals and set a way to measure those each month. Otherwise SEO can be a black hole and you are only using a gut feeling to know if you’re achieving your goals. Measuring your success is important so you don’t jump off the strategy too early.

In the meantime, Google Ads are a great way to get to the top of the search results. Google looks at the quality of your page content and decides how expensive your ads should be. Then whoever pays the most wins the top rankings. Just like the search results the ads at the top will get the most clicks. This is a short-term play because when you stop ads your search traffic will stop. It should be used in conjunction with SEO to let the organic traffic decrease the cost of ads over time.

SEO works by having a well-coded website, lots of relevant content, appropriate content linking back to the website, Google reviews, an updated Google My Business business listing, and a great page experience with a fast website.

At Bennett Web Group we first focus on your website conversion rate. If your website isn’t converting well you are wasting money driving traffic to it. The website should have a great conversion rate and a lead generator and email campaign to catch any potentially lost leads.

To speed the website up we offer an Optimize Package. This package improves Google’s user page experience or Core Web Vitals.
